2026 Small Forward TJ Crumble on his Recruitment and More

I had a chance to discuss hoops and recruiting with TJ Crumble out of Cleveland, Ohio. The 6'8"-205lbs -Small Forward, for Lutheran East is going on a tear picking up offers. He is not currently ranked because neither ON3 nor 247 have gotten around to ranking the 2026 class but expect him to be a top player with the way his stock is rising. Recently he has added offers from Arizona State, Texas A&M, LSU, Cincinnati, Ohio State, and Ole Miss to name a few. He has also been hearing from Michigan State, Vanderbilt, Indiana and Marquette.

I asked TJ to describe his playing style and he details " I'm a player that has a very high IQ and am doing whatever it takes to make my team win. I'm inside and out and I am a great spot up 3 points shooter. I also have a very high motor running up and down the court and making an aggressive play." All of those skills are on display in the above video . We discussed the offer from the hometown Cincinnati Bearcats and he said " Cincinnati offering me meant a lot because I’m from Ohio and I’m looking forward to visiting there August 1st." I asked if there were any schools standing out for him "No schools have particularly stood out because I haven’t been able to officially take college visits but I’m looking forward to start visiting schools starting August 1st."

Regarding contact with LSU he says "I’ve been in most contact with Coach Hamilton and he’s just been telling me about how nice the atmosphere is and what they have to offer athletically and academically." On his thoughts on LSU and Matt McMahon "Baton Rouge is a great college and LSU has great fans and i”m looking forward to experience it when I visit. And every college has bumps in the road and it takes a couple seasons for a team to gel together and for a coach to build their program." We also talked about Matt McMahon's ability to develop talent and his history of producing lottery picks at Murray State and he shared his thoughts on that "That definitely stands out because my main goal is to develop into a better player and make it AND stay in the NBA and have a good career so for him having experience in developing players like that means a lot to me."
