Hailing from Shiner High School, where she has shone brightly as a pivotal player on the field, Siegel's commitment to LSU marks a significant milestone in her promising athletic career.

Rising Star From Shiner High School

Siegel, a standout outfielder with the versatility to play in the middle infield, brings a winning pedigree to the LSU Tigers. As a member of the highly decorated Shiner High School Softball team, which boasts an impressive 7 state championships, Siegel's skills and leadership have set her apart as a force to be reckoned with on the field. Her outstanding performance even earned her the title of 29-2A District MVP, solidifying her reputation as a rising star in Texas high school softball.

High School Stats

Siegel has impressive statistics, with a batting average of .491, an on-base percentage of .548, a slugging percentage of .962, and an OPS of 1.510. Her 52 hits consist of 23 singles, 18 doubles, 1 triple, and 10 home runs, leading to 62 RBIs and 59 runs. Moreover, she was walked 14 times.

Commitment to Excellence

In a recent conversation, Siegel shared her thoughts on joining the LSU Softball program and what made her feel it was the place for her as she told me "People say that when you know you know, and that’s exactly what I felt when I stepped on campus. From coaches, to facilities, to resources, to the atmosphere, everything just felt like home."

Concerning the competition LSU ousted for her commitment, she mentioned "Other schools I was talking to were Arkansas and Arizona and all though those are great programs with great people leading them, nothing could beat the family that is the LSU softball program." We discussed her relationship with the coaching staff and she says "I am a new recruit and with all the recruiting rules I wasn’t able to really talk to them outside of camps. But when I had the chance to go to camp and be around them i just felt so comfortable and like I have known these coaches for years already. I just feel like I'm part of a family."

On where the coaches see her playing she commented "From talking to the coaches they see me as playing my primary position which is outfield, but aren’t opposed to me moving to the infield and using my athleticism to play other roles on the team." She doesn't have any ties to the current team however she is teammates with 2025 LSU commitment Lauren Soeken on her Impact Gold Jackson 18U team."

When talking about her motivations, she remarked "What drives me most not only as a softball player but just as an athlete is how competitive I am within myself. I am always competing with myself to get better no matter if it’s on the field, weight room, classroom, cages or just everyday life. I’m always striving to get better and to better myself in everything I do."

When discussing favorite accomplishments she stated "One of my favorite accomplishments is probably winning the Texas 2A state championship in 2024. That team was something special and I cherish every moment from that season." However, when discussing her fun fact she stated she is more than just a softball player " My fun fact is probably that I don’t just play softball. I’m from a very small town so one of my favorite things is just being involved in everything. I play basketball, run track, and play softball as well as cheer for my high school. I am very active in FFA, I show market lambs, and do floral design and floral culture, and I also do animal science and equine science. Lastly I am part of FCA and I am a leadership chairperson for NHS." She is truly a well rounded individual with no limitations.

She says her parents have been most instrumental in her softball journey "They both coached softball and won numerous state championships and watching that growing up really sparked that drive and passion to play and work hard to be the best I can be." Outside of softball she says "I really enjoy spending time with friends and family. Sometimes playing softball year round can get kinda of overwhelming so taking a little break and spending quality time with the most important people in your life is just what you need."

In Adelynn Siegel, LSU Softball has found not just a recruit, but a true champion whose passion for the game and drive for success will inspire fans and teammates alike. She has a message for Tiger fans "I want LSU softball fans to know that they are getting a competitor. No matter what, I always want to better myself and the people around me to be the best we can possibly be."
