LSU Woman's Basketball team is riding high after their recent National Championship back in March over Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes. The tigers have since reeled in the number one player in the transfer portal after the addition of Hailey Van Lith from Louisville. That isn't enough for Kim Mulkey and her staff who just hosted Aneesah Morrow , the number two player in the transfer portal over the weekend.
Morrow is a transfer from the DePaul Blue Demons who is just wrapping up her second season. She was 2nd team All-American in 2022 and 3rd team in 2023 . Winning the title Big East Freshman of the year and back-to-back First Team All-Big East. Last season the Chicago native average 25.7 PPG (4TH) nationally and 12.2 REB (7TH) nationally.
The 6'1" forward is a do it all type of player. Possessing the ability to weave her way through traffic -or- she can pull back and knock it down from 3 point range. On top of that as i alluded to prior she was 7th in the nation in rebounds per game and and she gets 2 steals per game and would add another dominant rebounder next to Angel Reese.
Back to the topic at hand, her visit to LSU could not have gone any better from all accounts. She seemed to gel with the girls and fit right in. She visited University of Southern California prior to visiting to LSU and is scheduled to visit conference contender South Carolina this weekend. From everything i have been seeing and hearing i would not be surprised at all if that visit never happens. After the way the visit transpired it is hard not to like where LSU sits at the moment. Buckle up folks !!
