Aneesah Morrow the number 2 player in the transfer portal has committed to LSU. This just a week or so after the number 1 player in the transfer portal chose to call Baton Rouge, LA home as well. What does this mean for LSU.
For starters the tigers got the best player out of the portal last year in Angel Reese and signed one of the biggest stars in that freshman class in Flauje' Johnson. This year the Tigers are bringing in the No. 1 recruiting class headlined by top 10 players in (No.2) Mikayla Williams and (No.7) Aalyah Del Rosario.
After I published my last article on Hailey Van Lith and what she brings to LSU I did some asking around found out contrary to what i thought, she will be playing the point for LSU. That clears up one piece of the puzzle as to how all these starts will fit together. What though are the tigers getting in Morrow or soon to be Morreaux ?
Morrow is a transfer from the DePaul Blue Demons who is just wrapping up her second season. She was 2nd team All-American in 2022 and 3rd team in 2023 . Winning the title Big East Freshman of the year and back-to-back First Team All-Big East. Last season the Chicago native average 25.7 PPG (4TH) nationally and 12.2 REB (7TH) nationally. She will be a huge addition to this team and will give LSU two players who averaged doubles on the season and two of the top 10 rebounders nationally.
In Aneesah's commitment video she states "She wants to go somewhere and build a Dynasty." One is definitely in the making the pieces that have been assembled in Baton Rouge besides the mighty Mississippi River.
