Beth Torina is bringing in one of the top softball players in the state of Louisiana next season with the addition of infielder Madyson Manning from West Monroe. Manning was ranked No. 29 by ExtraInnings softball. Manning is going to bring some needed power to the lineup as you can see by her stats on the season.
.504 Batting Average, .558 On Base Percentage and 20 Homeruns
Madyson was committed to a BIG 12 power before eventually signing with LSU. She stated " I was committed to Oklahoma before LSU" and why she made the switch " I feel LSU is the school for me because it is closer to home." She also had Louisiana Tech and ULM wanting her as well. On her future at LSU " It's a very amazing opportunity to be able to play in my home state. I'm so blessed to be able to wear purple and gold." On where LSU plans to utilize her " I think LSU sees me playing somewhere in the infield, not quite sure yet."
On how she described her own game "positive and a team player" and also pointed out her versatility. On achievements she is proud of she says " District MVP, All-Parish player of the year and First Team All-District." She has one teammate in particular she is looking forward to teaming up with "I have played with Maddie McKee so I'm excited to play with her again." She says when she is not playing or practicing shes loves " tanning and hanging out with friends."
