Is Joe Sloan the Perfect Fit to Replace Mike Denbrock as LSU's Offensive Coordinator?

With the departure of LSU Offensive Coordinator Mike Denbrock to Notre Dame the attention quickly turns to who his replacement will be. If you peruse X (Formerly know as Twitter), Facebook or the LSU message boards, the majority of people are clamoring to promote from within and the name being thrown around is QB Coach Joe Sloan. Many know the work Sloan has done on the recruiting trail since getting to LSU with signing 4-star QB Rickie Collins out of Baton Rouge and this year signing 4-star QB Colin Hurley out of Jacksonville Florida. Then LSU is on the verge of landing a commitment from the Number 1 player in the nation for the 2025 class in 5-star Bryce Underwood from the state of Michigan in January. On the field everyone saw the development of Jayden Daniels skyrocket at unfathomable levels. But how is Sloan as a play caller ?
