Jurnee Robinson: The Rising Star of LSU Volleyball Names Pre-Season All SEC

Welcome back, LSU Volleyball fans! Today, we are thrilled to dive into the exciting journey of our very own outside hitter sensation, Jurnee Robinson, as she gears up for her sophomore season with an impressive accolade already under her belt. Named to the esteemed 2024 Preseason All-SEC Team, Robinson is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with on the court.



A Glimpse Back at Robinson's Remarkable Freshman Year


In the 2023 season, Robinson emerged as a shining star right out of the gates and eventually being named the AVCA South Region Freshman of the Year. Her remarkable performance on the court propelled the Tigers forward, with an outstanding average of 3.87 kills and 4.46 points per set. As she led the team with 391 total kills and showcased her prowess with a .232 hitting percentage, Robinson's impact was truly unparalleled. Not to mention her defensive skills, contributing 63 blocks, including an impressive 15 solo blocks, and serving 20 aces to keep the competition on their toes.




Setting the Bar High for the Upcoming Season


As Jurnee Robinson embarks on her sophomore season, expectations are soaring high for this extraordinary talent. With her exceptional skills and unwavering determination, Robinson is poised to elevate her game even further and lead the Tigers to greater heights in the competitive world of volleyball. For all the LSU Volleyball enthusiasts out there, get ready to witness Robinson's electrifying performances, jaw-dropping spikes, and game-changing aces. This season promises to be an exhilarating ride filled with adrenaline-pumping moments, courtesy of our star player.


The league office picked the LSU Tigers to finish ninth in the league with LSU accumulating 82 points in the SEC Preseason Coaches Poll. Newly admitted SEC member and reigning back-to-back National Champions, Texas, are named the preseason favorites, tallying 196 points and 14 of the 15 first-place points. Florida finished second in the poll with 174 points and claimed the final first-place vote, edging out Kentucky, which rounded out the top three teams with 173 votes.
