I was able to do a Q&A with Jack and talk about things like why he chose LSU and other topics. Jack on what made feel LSU was the school for him "I feel like LSU was the school for me because of the fans, facilities, and coach Johnson history of being able to develop infielders and especially left handed hitting ones. As well as growing up in Baton Rouge watching Josh smith, Alex Bregman and Kramer Robertson play."

On the opportunity to represent LSU and Louisiana "The opportunity to play for LSU would be a dream come true getting to play for Louisiana like guys like Mikie Mahtook, Jared Mitchell, Ryan Theriot, and Clay Moffit. As well as what Cade Beloso and Gavin Dugas are currently doing. The schools LSU beat out for Ruckert's commitment "The other schools I considered was Tennessee, Duke, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss."

We discussed what he feels is his strongest part of his game and he stated "I feel like my strongest attribute is being a left handed hitting infielder." Regarding his accomplishments to date he says "Accomplishments I am proud of are representing team USA in Taiwan in 2019, being a 2x Perfect Game Select Fest participant, and being a State Champion."

On his previous season he said "The season ended rough but just because we didn’t win it all. It doesn’t mean it’s a failure we had a incredible year only losing 3 times and being ranked #5 in the country at one point. I look forward to getting another state championship next year. "

Ruckert minced no words when he gave his thoughts on Jay Johnson, saying "Coach Johnson is a mastermind and has the team in Omaha ready to win a natty, not by accident." Where do the LSU coaches see Ruckert playing " The LSU coaches want me to play in the infield and be the best athlete possible to play anywhere that is needed." He stated as far as his relationship with this LSU staff "My relationship with coach Jordan is great and has been going for around 3 years. He was one of the first recruiters I talked to in 8th grade when he was at Duke. My relationship with Coach Johnson is good, I have been talking to him since he got to LSU and he has talked with my family multiple times.

He made sure to say his recruitment is shut down "LSU is HOME" and a message to LSU fans " LSU fans can know they are getting a guy from Louisiana who will do anything for the city and the state to win." On guys he is looking forward to playing with at LSU "Grant Breaux goes to my high school and I’m very close with him. Konnor Griffin was on an old summer team I was on and can’t wait to see him at LSU as well as Cam Caminiti, he was a former teammate of mine. He says in his free time "If I’m not on the field I like to hang out with my friends or listen to music."
