With LSU Baseball winning their opening round match-up against South Carolina in the SEC tournament they followed it up with back-to-back losses against Arkansas and Texas A&M. We have found out they will be the No. 5 national seed and will host a regional in Baron Rouge for the first time since 2019. LSU (43-15) will start play in the 2023 NCAA Tournament on Friday.
The No. 2 Seed in the Baton Rouge regional is Sam Houston (38-23) the WAC conference Champions. They will face the No.3 Seed Oregon State (38-23) from the Pac 12.With the No.1 Seed LSU Tigers (43-15) will be opening up with the No.4 Seed Tulane (19-40) after they won the AAC championship game. The Green Wave defied the odds and made it into the tournament by securing the automatic bid.
The Baton Rouge Regional will pair up with the No.12 Regional in Lexington, Kentucky
