LSU has secured another arm for it's staff that will look completely different next season. Gage Jump, a sophomore LHP out of UCLA. The 6'0"-200lbs has not had much experience at the college level after making 7 appearances in 2022, he had Tommy John surgery in 2023 and will be ready to go for the 2024 campaign.
In 2022 he made 7 appearances with 16 innings pitched and struck out 22 batters and walked 11 with 3.86 ERA. He has a high ceiling as he was graded a 10 by Perfect Game out of High School in California where he was drafted by the Padres in the 2021 MLB draft and opted for college instead. He was the No. 45 overall High School prospect in the country and the No.7 LHP. In his Senior season he was topping out at 94mph. Will be a strong bullpen arm for the Tigers.
