The Journey to LSU
Sam's journey to LSU is a tale of true passion and dedication. Despite considering other renowned schools like Mizzou and Georgia, LSU captured her heart as she stated "LSU has always been my dream school." She added "I felt like LSU was the school for me because I fell in love with the coaches and team dynamic instantly and could definitely see myself becoming apart of this family! "
She has one recruit that she has history with and looks to make more as she said "I am familiar with a 2026 commit, Ayla Tuua! We live in the same area, have played for the same coaches, and play each other in high school ball! I’m so excited to get closer with her over the next few years! "
Embracing Challenges
Despite LSU already having a highly rated catcher committed, Sam's mindset remains focused on giving her best and earning her position through hard work and collaboration as she says "My mindset is to do my best and earn my position no matter where I am. I will work together with the other catchers and coaches to do what’s best for the team!"
A Love for Softball
Sam's love for softball runs deep. She describes the game as more than just a sport—it's a process she adores. The challenge, the intensity, and the thrill of success drive her forward. She stated "I feel in love with the game but even more with the process. I love the intimidation the game holds and the feeling of success after a hard game. Playing with my teammates is a feeling like no other that I could never leave."
On what she feels contributes to her being such a high level prospect she stated "Some attributes I feel contribute to me being a great player is my demeanor behind the plate and aggressiveness I bring in the box. My Coaches can always count on me as I am consistent and fearless." These are definitely traits that helped her achieve some of her proudest achievements as she told me "I am most proud of is being apart of the USA Women’s National Team and winning the “Leading Hitter” award! "
