On July 22nd Matt House and the LSU Football program secured a commitment from one of the premier players in the state of Louisiana for the Class of 2024 when Tylen Singleton announced he was "Staying Home". What exactly are the Tigers getting with this addition.

In my opinion LSU is getting a severely underrated player in Tylen Singleton. While the recruiting services are ranking him as as linebacker, Singleton has played all over the field in his high school career. Be it lining up on the edge to rush the passer, coming up in the box to stop the run, lining up at both corner and safety in coverage, Tylen can do it all.
The soon to be senior has had a high school career that has been nothing short of stellar. Where even as a Freshman he played a part in helping Many to a state championship. They then made it to the championship game the following year and fell short. Then in his junior season Singleton and his dynamic running mate Tackett Curtis secured another championship. This season Tylen will have the opportunity to play in a 4th consecutive state chamionship game with his Many teammates.
If I were to make a comparison for Tylen it would be Jacoby Stevens. Although when the 5-star Stevens go to LSU it took a few seasons to find his way as they bounced him from offense and defense trying to find a home. I do not see the more dynamic Singleton having those issues as i expect him to be a force at the LB position as he grows more into that role .
